Penney Marie Kasun

Penney Marie (Snow) Kasun, 58, of Eau Claire; passed away February 29, 2016, at home following a long, courageous fight against cancer with her loving family at her side. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, with Renee Kauffman officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home before the service.  Memorials may be made to The Ocular Melanoma Foundation. Penney was born September 25, 1957 in Coloma to Gerald and Goldie (Akins) Snow, Sr.  She was a graduate of Coloma High School in 1976.  Penney married Tim Kasun on May 30, 2002 in Las Vegas.  She and her husband Tim owned Elite Bar in Watervliet until 2011.   Penney loved flowers, gardening, spending time in the sun and wearing her flip-flops.  Most of all she loved being a “professional grandma” to her beloved grandchildren. Penney is survived by her mother, Goldie Snow; husband, Tim; daughters, Amanda (Dan) Malkin, Jaclyn (Jeremy) Gatchell and Meagan Snow all of Eau Claire; step-sons, Dan Kasun and Joe Kasun, both of Eau Claire; five grandchildren; brothers, Gerald (Alice) Snow, Jr. and Terry (Julie) Snow, both of Eau Claire and sister, Cynthia (Tom) Kilhenney of Michigan City, IN.  She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Snow, Sr.
