Arlene Meade

Arlene “Mamur” Meade, 89, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2016at United Methodist Church, 310 West Mars, Berrien Springswith Rev. Terry Schneider officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.Tuesday, May 10, 2016at the Heritage Chapel & Cremation Services, 8747 US 31 Berrien Springs. Arlene was born January 13, 1927 in International Falls, MN to Perry & Emma (Stark) Clark. On September 3, 1949 she married John Maruk in Superior, WI. who preceded her in death in 1968. In 1970 she married Robert Meade who preceded her in death in 2005. Arlene worked for ElectroVoice in the Shipping Department for 36 years. Arlene lived life to the fullest, she loved being everyone’s“Mamur” and she was very independent and always willing to help others. She loved cooking, working in her yard and flowers. She especially loved being a caregiver to her daughter Tina and spending time with family and friends. She touched many lives and will be missed by all. Arlene is survived by her children Ray (Barb) Maruk, Pat (Don) Geiger and Tina (Tom) Flagel; step-daughter Patty (Tom) Tucker; grandchildren Michael (Laurie) Maruk, Lorrie (Donald) Upson, Sheri (Geoff) Sanderson, Julie Smith, Tara Gray, Mark Gray, Adam Gray, Scott Geiger, Wendy (Jamie) Laughlin, Tim (Carey) Flagel, Traci (Joe) Haskins, and Kyle Tucker; great grandchildren James, Katelynn, Mikayla, Jasmine, Larissa, Jonathan, Maggie, Erika, Emily, Erinn, Tiffany, Rachel, Kelsi, John, Jake, Cody, Cali, Kasey, Kelly, Delaney, Jordan, Chelsie, Ashley, Abby, Hayley, and Kanan; great great grandson Brayden; brother Perry (Donna) Clark; sister Sylvia (Jerry) Johnson. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John Maruk and Robert Meade; brothers Floyd and Irvin; and sisters Louise, Florence, Bertha, Goldy, Carrie, and Emily.
