Melinda Rudlaff

Melinda Rudlaff, 86, of Berrien Springs, passed away, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, with Rev. Derek Cromwell officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 A.M. Melinda was born June 25, 1930 in Buenos Aries, Argentina to Gottlieb & Melida (Juchalsky) Busse. Melinda immigrated to the United States, settling in Berrien Springs, where she met her future husband, Walter J. Rudlaff.  They were married August 25, 1951 in Berrien Springs.  She helped Walter in the operations of the family farm, as well as taking care of her home, yard and family.  She enjoyed spending time out of doors and watching all the wild life on the property, and especially tending to her many rose bushes.  She was the person others would go to for advice if their roses needed some special attention.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Melinda is survived by her children-Dan (Christel Schulz) Rudlaff of Berrien Springs, Ruth (Jeff) Stover of Alta Loma, CA; two grandsons-David (Melony) Jewell of Ontario, CA & Christopher (Allycia) Rudlaff of Sister Lakes; one great-granddaughter Elisabeth Rudlaff and two great-grandsons-Jeremy & Nathan Jewell; her sister Alma Kantor of British Columbia, Canada, and numerous nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Walter on April 15, 2006, two brothers-Willie & Gus Busse, and four sisters-Hilda Fitz, Walda Dannhardt, Hedwig Disselberger & Linda Jacanuck.
