Joseph Ferrantino Jr., 81, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his home. A Graveside Service will be held at Union Cemetery located on M-140 at Pokagon Road in Berrien Township at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 with Pastor Brian Rumer officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at Seneca Assembly of God in Seneca, IL.  Memorials may be made to New Life Church in St. Joseph or Seneca Assembly of God.  Those wishing to share a memory of Joseph online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com. Joseph was born March 25, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and May (Nolting) Ferrantino. He graduated from Lions Township High School in LaGrange, IL.  On November 30, 1957 he married Barbara True in LaGrange, IL.  Joe served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict and was a man of God and served on the streets of Chicago to the homeless and as an accordion playing minister in nursing homes in La Grange, Westmont and Morris, IL praying for the sick and lonely.  He was a prayer warrior for all who knew him.  He appeared on Channel 38 in Chicago as a witness to the healing power of God in his life. Joseph is survived by his wife Barbara Ferrantino; sons Dr. Michael (Dr. Karen Burrell) Ferrantino, Brett (Genevieve) Ferrantino; daughter Rachel (Ted) Ward; 16 grandchildren Elizabeth, Matthew, Jerome Ferrantino; John, Jacob, Renata, Rhoda Ferrantino; Carmella, Leah, Sarah, Samuel, Ferrantino; and Cameron, Lucas, Holly, Josiah, Jeremiah Ward; one great granddaughter Sophia Ferrantino; brother Dennis Ferrantino; and sister Joyce Ferrantino-Karlan. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Grazyna Ferrantino.
