Michael W. Snyder, 65, of Berrien Springs passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 after a short battle with ALS at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Starks Heritage Chapel in Berrien Springs. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 also at the funeral home. A family burial will follow at Long Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Berrien Springs Baseball. Those wishing to leave online condolences may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com Mike was born on August 4, 1951 to Dale and Leon (Elliott) Snyder in Jackson, MI. On January 31, 1976 he married Anne Bennett in Buchanan, MI. Mike worked in the printing industry as well as operating the Toolwright Shop. Umpiring was his passion. He officiated for over twenty years in the Michiana area and will be remembered as a pitcher’s umpire. He was an avid baseball fan, spanning old time baseball to the Major Leagues.  He was very proud of his children and loved spending time with his family. Mike is survived by his wife of 41 years Anne; mother, Leon Snyder; children Megan, Andy, Adam, and Scott Snyder; and sister Suann (Duane) Gulliver. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Snyder and brother, Douglas Snyder.
