Delfina's Obituary
Delfina Lopez, 96, of Berrien Springs, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 10:30 A.M., at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, with Dr. Eradio Alonso officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Delfina was born on September 27, 1920, to Jose & Lucia (Hernandez) Lopez in Havana, Cuba. She married Fermin Alonso. Delfina was a home school teacher as well as a seamstress. She loved watching musical films and listening to music.
Delfina is survived by her children, Dr. Eradio Alonso and Olga Alonso; grandchildren, Dr. Kenneth (Dr. Luz) Alonso, Karen (Dr. Terry Parson) Alonso, George Guevara and Inalbye Guevara; and great-grandchildren, Eric Maragoto, Skyler Shiff, Kelsey McCarthy, Khloe Kedziersky, Loren Alonso, Rachel Alonso and Kenneth Alonso Jr.
Delfina was preceded in death by her parent and husband, Fermin.
