Karen Johns

Karen Johns, 65 of Eau Claire, MI passed away March 19, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9123 George St., Berrien Springs with Rev. Doug Adams officiating. Burial will be held at Burlington Cemetery at 2:30 P.M., Saturday in Burlington, MI. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 23, 2018 at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran School in Berrien Springs. Those wishing to share a memory of Karen online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com  Karen was born October 10, 1952 in South Bend, IN to Edmond & Doris (Milliken) Surma. She graduated from New Prairie High School. Karen was a bus driver for the Berrien County Intermediate School District for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs where she enjoyed volunteering. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  Karen is survived by her children, Jessica (Karl) Kramer, Kris Aldrich, Donna White, Sue (Joe) Rambo, Paul (Traci) Harvey and Sean (Dawn) Harvey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother Kevin (Karen) Surma; Karen was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Bernal Jack Aldrich Jr., in 1992 and Allen Johns in 2016.
