Jacalyn Sadler, 68, of Berrien Springs, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 18, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9123 George Ave., Berrien Springs, with Rev. Douglas Adams officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs or Caring Circle. Those wishing to share a memory of Jacalyn online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com
Jacalyn was born March 6, 1950 in Benton Harbor, MI to Glen & Emma (Rhode) Leach. She graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1969. On September 19, 1998 she married Richard Sadler in Berrien Springs. Jacalyn worked for Sheppard Casters for over 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and OWLS. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering at the Soup Kitchen, sewing, crafts, gardening, photography, ice cream, and going on cruises to the Caribbean and Hawaii.
Jacalyn is survived by her daughter Martha (Shawn) Dierickx; son Christopher (Teresa) Heckathorne; step-son Richard Sadler Jr.; step-daughter Lori Wilson; 3 grandchildren Anthena (Justin) Palmer, Katerina (Dylan) Baldwin and MaKayla (Fiancé Nathan Hechtl) Dierickx; two great grandchildren Hayden Baldwin and Amelia Dierickx-Hechtl; siblings Jeannie (Gary) Scharnowske, James (Jan) Leach, Joseph (Nancy) Leach and Jerry (Doreen) Leach; dear friend Martha Rahe. Jacalyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
