Rodger's Obituary
Rodger L. Whaley, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Born in Elkhart Indiana, May 30 1940, to Carmi and Dorothy Whaley. United in marriage September 27, 1975 to Charmaine “Susie” Sink.
Rodger is survived by Tony (Anna) Leininger, Jeff (Tara) Whaley, Tracy Whaley, Keith (Lindsey) Whaley, Danielle Whaley, Rodger L Whaley II, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Terry (Patricia) Whaley.
Rodger is preceded in death by parents Carmi and Dorothy Whaley, wife of 28 years Charmaine Whaley and former wife Carol Pflibsen.
Rodger was the ultimate entrepreneur; he was a premiere designer and builder customizing vans and busses for celebrities, among the many other things that he did throughout his life. When not working Rodger spent time on the water both in Michigan and Florida. Rodger loved his family and was always promoting the next family gathering, which included a Cuba Libra, coined “The Whaley”. Rodger touched many people in his lifetime, he will not be forgotten.
Visitation for Rodger will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
